Uruguay: Twentyfour Seven’s New Operations Base, Joined by Luli Molla and Daniel Álvarez
Uruguay is famed for its multitudinous variety mere miles from Twentyfour Seven’s outpost in Montevideo, its illustrious capital. The historical city juggles cobblestoned streets lined with European-style architecture, leafy neighborhoods with gardens, and sprawls to sleek high-rises, waterfront promenades, and broad sandy beaches. Beyond, brands and agencies take advantage of a pastoral canvas of rolling hills, endless countryside, towering dunes, and yet more coastline, no more than a couple of hours by car from its coast. A modern workhorse of local flavor and visual culture, Montevideo and the surrounding resort towns and villages turn the country into a massive practical film set.
Uruguay is ready to serve the international community with covetable locations that have proven effective in some of the world’s greatest ads. Notes Daniel, “The industry is ready to utilize Uruguay’s breathing room and flexibility, which can expand when needed. We will plug right into Twentyfour Seven’s global network of talent and craftspeople.”
Adds Luli, “What strikes me more is its synergy; I’m looking to position Montevideo as a more viable option for services, not only to emulate other cities, but also for its own aesthetic value.”
Managing Partner Gordon Mackinnon notes that Uruguay’s office will join Twentyfour Seven’s international collective and has an equal hand in work even beyond its borders. “Clients might be specifically thinking of Uruguay, but quite often, jobs will enter the group somewhere else. Because the offices are so integrated, we have brainstorming calls daily to share ideas, and maybe present our client with more than one option for locations.”
Says Luli, “Uruguay invites the development of dynamic projects, offering advantages that only countries with its size, population, and stability can provide. I am truly excited to join and be part of the Twentyfour Seven office in Uruguay, continuing to support the growth of a territory that, beyond its typical appeal for its European look or vast beaches, never fails to surprise with its range of styles, the professionalism of its crews, and its strong technical offering. I hope to contribute what is needed for our little country to keep building strength in the audiovisual sector and to continue proving that the exclusive and the simple can sometimes go hand in hand.”
Says Daniel, “Having Uruguay shine on Twentyfour Seven’s international map, as a longtime fan of the company, is very special. I’ve seen how the company has grown over the last year, and I think this new space will take a bigger leap. In the coming years, Uruguay will consolidate as a reliable hub for international production. It’s a great opportunity for the local market to see the work the studio produces with the high standard of the company.”
